I bought some knock-down fittings yesterday so that I can glue thicker strips of timber onto the bottom of these, pad them up, make a fabric sleeve, staple the fabric onto the thicker timber underneath and the attach solid timber glides with allen screws. I hope it works and I hope I can find an upholsterer who can do the job with some nice stretchy wool.

Even the graphics are good and look like Otl Aicher.

Yay! For everything, I got a mint (looking) Braun Sixtant from ebay for 3 euros! In its case with its cord + paper label, postage and bank fees are another thing though. Still nice to have. The same person has an excellent looking Braun turntable, amp and speakers but won't post *sigh*.
