The closest image I can find to describe the new large tables I'm working on the design for, quite different looking but similar in spirit. I'm using flat bar pulled inwards about 450mm from each end + concealed allen screws instead of tube and a veneered top sitting inside a solid timber frame. Fabricius + Kastholm so under-rated.
